The Security Council

The security council consists of the top and most active players on the worlds.

Security Council header01 The Security CouncilThey make decisions regarding the peace and prosperity of the world. A non-security country can propose that a certain contry be restricted from certain actions. Such as having nukes, havig nuclear facilities and using nuclear attacks.

They can also force peace treaties and give untied developmental aid.

Each world in Simcountry has a security council. The members of the Security Council are presidents of countries that have won a first place in their world. Each SC member will remain in the Security Council for 6 months.

The Security Council has 15 members, all different players. Any double membership is cancelled and the number of members will be increased by random choice of countries.

A country president can be chosen if he is an active player, meaning that he has logged in very recently. Randomly chosen Security Council members will stay for two real months and will be removed from the council following that period. They may be chosen again immediately by the same random process but that is unlikely.

Security Council members can cancel their membership. If any player is not interested in being a member, he/she can cancel the membership and will be removed immediately.

The random process can put these members back into the council but the chance is not very high and they are free to remove themselves again.

The random process will check the membership in the council each game month. If the number is lower than 15, it will add one member. If membership is very low, filling up the council up to 15 members may take several game months.

The SC members can bring up proposals for a general vote. Only proposals that have been accepted in the SC will be brought up for a general vote.

The SC needs a majority of votes for a proposal to be accepted. Any four members of the SC can together block a decision from moving to a general vote.

A proposal that was accepted by the council becomes a resolution. Resolutions are put to a vote by all countries and can be accepted by a simple majority.

All members (all countries) pay the SC a fee that depends on the population of the country. The fee is 100 million per 5 millions in population. The population is rounded up to a 5 million multiply. A country with a population of 7 million is paying 200 million per game month. A country with a population of 32 million, pays 700 million per month.

The use of the money is subject to resolutions by the council and the members.

The Markets

Countries need many products and their corporations buy raw materials and sell their produce.

Markets header01 The MarketsMost of the buying and selling takes place on the world market. Trading is massive with many thousands of transactions taking place in real time 24 hours a day in all worlds. The world market is a true market with price fluctuations depending on demand and supply.

Many of the corporations are public and their shares are traded on the stock market. All players have access to the stock market and use it to invest some of their reserves and to try and gain control of corporations they are interested in.

The cash market in Simcountry offers the possibility to exchange game assets and virtual money into Gold Coins and use these Gold Coins to purchase other assets and game privileges.

Assets that can be traded include countries that are part of an empire, Enterprises in all worlds, Corporations and game money that the player earned while playing countries and Enterprises. Presidents/leaders are also able to exchange population in their over populated countries for Gold Coins, transferring the people into a country with low population, allowing it to grow faster.

At a later stage, assets trading will be extended with Mining concessions, oil and gas winning concessions and other rights to natural resources in various parts of all worlds and with world corporations that will be large conglomerates of up to 20 merged corporations selling many different products.

The cash market offers more information about the value of resources in the countries and enterprises in all worlds. The information makes it easier for players to estimate the value of assets and their capacity to generate profits.

When a player is trading a game asset for Gold Coins, the Gold Coins are added to his account in the game.

Conversions can take place if the account retains 500 Gold Coins after the conversion. W3creative has set minimum amount for payment using Paypal of US $ 25 The amount is set to reduce administration and bank costs that are involved with very small transactions. Gold coins can of course be used to purchase various privileges and boosters in the game.

The exchange of gold coins into cash can be turned off and conditions can be changed without prior notification.

Golden Rainbow runs one game month every 6 hours and is usually referred to by the initiated as GR.

Golden Rainbow header01 Golden RainbowGolden Rainbow is made up of 10 continents. Each of them is an island, some of which have smaller islands attached to them.

Golden Rainbow is the 3rd largest world with 4,804 countries. It runs at a rate of 4 game-months per day.

By and large, it is a peaceful world although large scale wars still erupt from time to time. It is a peaceful world with the potential for major conflict. Many large empires exist, but they maintain friendly relations with one another.

Any rogue leader will quickly find himself overwhelmed on all fronts by a combined effort of the major powers. The political landscape generally favors the militarily capable.

Worlds

At the present time, Simcountry runs five worlds: Kebir Blue, Fearless Blue, White Giant, Golden Rainbow and, the newest one, Little Upsilon.

If you are thinking of playing Simcountry again or expanding into other worlds, you should read this page, given it will give you some information on every world’s profile.

Each world runs separately from the others on its own server. Most game functions are limited to a single world. On the cash market, many transactions are possible between countries in different worlds. Each world has 10 continents with 3100 to 6400 countries per world.

The worlds look differently and do not resemble any areas in the real world.

Three of the five worlds run one game month in 8 hours. Kebir Blue runs four game months per 24 hours while Little Upsilon, the youngest world, runs six game months each day. The processing of the countries and their corporations with trading running at the same time, starts generally at about 5.20AM, 12.20PM and 7.20PM EST. Countries are processed one by one and all their corporations are evaluated and processed at the same time. The processing schedule may however differ depending on system load and maintenance activities.

Not all the countries can be process at the same time and depending on their location in the database they might run early in the process or much later. There are no advantages or disadvantages linked to the position in the database.

Trading runs alternately with the processing of the country data. The trading process handles one product at a time. It reads all the requests and offers for one product, matches them depending on the way they have been offered (Market price fixed price etc) and executes the matched trades immediately. During this month process, each product is traded 6 to 8 times. Each trade session processes the products that are available on the market at that point in time.

A trading session for a single product runs for 1 to 100 seconds depending on the number of product offers and product requests waiting for that specific product. Contracts are processed once per game month, this happens at the first trading session for the product.

Economic Growth and Market Manipulation

This is an area where lots of players find their interests lie.

Market Manipulation header01 Economic Growth and Market ManipulationPlayers can strategically buy and sell stock, hoping to predict the market and gain money once the selected product is in shortage. They can use many different Economic Strategies, including Ceo corporation based, State/Public corporation based, or a mixture of the two. There is a fully active share market in each world, in which shares can be bought and sold in order to achieve profit with market fluctuations or to receive a steady income from the corporation dividend each month.

Growth can be achieved through changes in the education system, with a higher ‘Teacher’ Education Priority, more teachers will be trained, and thus more schools can be built, leading to a higher trained workforce, and leaning towards a high-tech corporation economy. The Salaries of each worker type can be changed at will, higher wages stimulate higher tax revenue and higher commercial activity, whereas a lower salary base can encourage CEO’s to move in, or enable the maintenance of a large army.

An increasing number of countries in all worlds are now profitable and their economies are doing good. This is an improvement on the previous situation when many new players have not succeeded in reaching a profitable situation.

We have added features that help new players by setting some essential parameters to support the economy. More will be done in the near future to help new players. Direct financial support to such players becomes less essential. It will remain but at lower levels.

At the same time, numbers in Simcountry continue to decline. The exchange rate is now around 90B per gold coin and many other base values have changed along with the declining exchange rate.

Corporations that used to make profits at the level of 2B per game month while the exchange rate was 300B per gold coin may now see their profits becoming lower but in terms of gold coins, the profits are now much higher.

Corporation values are lower. A corporation that had a market value of 3T while the exchange rate was 300B per gold coin had a value of 10 gold coins.
Now or in the future, it may have a market value of 1T with an exchange rate of 90B per gold coins or 11 Gold coins.

The process is slow with wide fluctuations that depend on the markets but the trend is was toward lower values in game money but higher values in gold coins.

Watching the account status pages, you can see a continuous increase of assets values across all the worlds.

A federation is a group of countries which share air defense (Interceptors and Helicopters ) to defend themselves from enemy attacks.

Federation header01 FederationDefensive resources that are shared during war are air defenses only, so if you or one of your fed members has air defense wings (don’t use these), interceptor wings or helicopter wings (use those two instead) they will act in defense of your country or your fedmate’s country when attacked, assuming they are within range.

The only automatic consequence of joining a fed is the air defense described above. If you don’t put up any interceptor or helicopter wings then none of your forces will do anything at all. The point of shared fed air defense is that it makes it much more costly for an attacker to make headway in attacking a country if he is confronted with air defense wings both from the country he is attacking and from that country’s ally both in the same attack.

A healthy fed will also share information about how to succeed in the game, economic as well as war, through in-game messaging. If they’re really serious they’ll also communicate through an SC chatroom or maybe they’re set up with MSN chat. A really committed fed may have a webpage someplace, and perhaps even a constitution and officers.

Besides sharing air defense a good fed’s members will also declare on enemies who declare war on or possibly even threaten its members. Signing the war treaty is a crude way of doing this, but it may embroil you in wars you don’t really want or need to be part of, at times of day which may be inconvenient. A good fed will also conduct diplomacy to avoid wars or end them before they get out of hand.

Simcountry is an unlimited free game, it runs five virtual worlds with more than 23.000 countries. It is both a strategy war game and a financial strategy game. As a president and commander in chief, you are responsible for the army, its weapons and ammunition and for the quality of your Military Units.

You can decide to purchase weapons or to build military equipment corporations and produce weapons and ammunition for your army, trade in weapons on the market and build strategic stocks for future wars.

New players should learn how to manage the important functions in the game, get a feeling of how it works and expand from there. The game is easy per function but it is very large. There are many functions and features and you will gradually learn how to use them.

Please use the help functions in the game. There is an important “Now What” feature that can help you a lot on deciding what to do, mainly at the beginning. It will help you in the initial steps in the game.

Fearless Blue

Fearless Blue, as all Worlds in Simcountry, has an acronym; this is: FB.

Fearless Blue header01 Fearless BlueFB dons the name “The War World”. Overall poor world economy.

Fearless Blue was the second world created in the CentauDos Galaxy. It is larger than Kebir Blue with 6159 countries. It also runs 6 game months each day.

The Fearless Blue world is less peaceful. It is in fact the war world of the five and not easy for beginners. Some warlords on Fearless Blue like hunting for easy to conquer countries and attack new players as soon as their empires reach the higher war levels.

It is very highly recommended that players experiment on the other worlds and meet long term players there before moving to Fearless Blue. Peaceful playing is not permitted in Fearless Blue but temporary war protection is an option.

The attributes of FB are:

  • 4 game months a day;
  • No secured Mode
  • War Protection necessary to Avoid War declarations.
